Award Acceptance

  1. The Office of Contracts and Grants (OCG) staff with Signature Authority to sign awards on behalf of the University.
  2. Signature authority delegations at CUÌý51³Ô¹ÏÍø are designed to protect academic freedoms and limit risk, including ability to publish and the University’sÌýintellectual property. Delegation originates with The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø. Signature Authority is delegated to President Saliman and then to named individuals within the University.
  3. The Office of Contracts and Grants holds the delegation of signature authority for 51³Ô¹ÏÍø research contracts and grants, and official sponsored project correspondence over the life of an award. This may include requests to the sponsor for:Ìý
  • No-cost extensions
  • Budget deviations
  • Prior approval authorizations
  • Other modifications to the terms of the agreement

In addition, OCG holds the delegation of signature authority for other research-related awards including:Ìý

  • Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs)
  • Data Transfer and Use Agreements (DTUAs)
  • Non-disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs)
  • Service Agreements
